How to Reach?

You can reach the Alibag Beach through air, train and road too.

By Air: The nearest airport is in Mumbai which is 113km and is well connected by flights from all the cities. You can take a bus from there or hail a cab.
By Train: Though the nearest railway station is Pen which is 4km, it is not very well connected and takes a lot of time to reach to the beach. Another station at Panvel is 78km and takes about the same time as pen and is a well-connected station so you will have no problem in finding a taxi or bus.
By Road: There are state transport buses to Alibag from Mumbai Central station and Borivali.
Through Sea: You can take a boat for Mandwa Jetty from Gateway of India which is a 1hr ride, from there you can take another boat to Alibag which takes about 30-minutes to reach.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Alibag Beach is between November to July, but you can visit the beach and the area during any time of the year. Just keep in mind that different seasons will have a different atmosphere and will treat you differently.

Summer season: Being a coastal area, Alibag have a hot and humid weather. You can still visit the beach from February to July but keep in mind to not go on the beach during the afternoons.
Winter season: November to February is an ideal time to visit the beach. You can relish the experience of the beach and enjoy water sports too without getting burned by the scorching heat. The city also looks beautiful after the monsoon showers.

You can also visit Alibag during the monsoon season but you wonâ€™t be able to enjoy the water sports and the boat rides. The water current is also quite high and is risky to swim. Regardless, if you happen to be in the area during monsoons, you can still see the city and all the attractions nearby.
