gorubathan hill station

Gorubathan is a village in the Gorubathan CD block of the Kalimpong district in the Indian state of West Bengal. It was once ruled by Lepcha kings who built Dalim Fort on top of a hill at Dalim Busty. The economy of the village is mainly driven by the farming of crops like tea, areca nuts, black cardamom, brooms, ginger and other fruits and vegetables. Gorubathan can be reached by rail. New Mal Junction railway station and New Jalpaiguri Junction railway station are the nearest railway stations, located at a distance of 15 km and 65 km respectively.
