Kurseong hill station

Kurseong is a town, located at an altitude of 1,482.55 metres, in Darjeeling district in the state of West Bengal. The town is just 34 kilometres away from Siliguri and is connected to the it by road and the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. The economy of Kurseong is primarily based on education sector and tourism. Kurseong can be reached by air or by road. Bagdogra airport is the nearest airport, while New Jalpaiguri is the nearest major railway station which is about 45 kilometres from the town. Kurseong experiences a pleasant climate throughout the year. The town has a number of tea gardens to visit, some of them are - Castleton, Makaibarie, Ambootia and Goomtee.
