The Chapchar Kut is a festival celebrated in Mizoram. The festival is celebrated with great favour and gaiety, during the month of March after completion of their most arduous task of jhum operation i.e. jungle-clearing. A number of activities are organised during the Chapchar Kut. Some of them include Chhawnghnawh, Cheraw dance, Arts, craft and Photo Exhibition, Chapchar Kut run, Mizo Traditional Games and costume parade, Wearing of Traditional dress at work places, Stalls with Etnnic cuisine, etc.
