  • Amaravati Temple: Dravidian-style architecture is seen in the construction of the Amaravati Temple, which was placed atop a little hammock called KrounchaShaila. Five lingams—Pranaveswara, Agasteswara, Kosaleswara, Someswara, and Parthiveswara—are thought to be the physical manifestations of Lord Shiva at this location. The archakas mount a pedestal platform to execute the daily rituals and abhishekam because the Shiva Lingam in this location is exceedingly tall. There is a red stain on the linga's top. A nail is reported to have been driven into the top of the lingam to stop it from continuing to grow in size. It appears that as soon as the nail was put, blood started to seep out of the Sivalinga. Even now, the stain is visible.
