bagrakote hill station

Bagrakote, also called Bagrakote or Bagrakot Tea Garden is a village in the Mal CD block in the state of West Bengal. Bagrakote is known as a Tea Garden because Duncan Goenka Group, established a tea garden in Bagrakote to provide a stable livelihood, following which people from neighbouring villages and even some far off places like Sikkim migrated to Bagrakote, post independence, in search of better living conditions. Bagrakote village, is surrounded by forests and tea gardens, with an exquisite view of the Himalayan mountains. On a clear winter morning, a glimpse of Kangchenjunga can be seen. The village started attracting tourists but a downfall has been seen as the main attraction, the Tea Garden has not been doing soo well and the area is predominantly covered with huge bushes and uncleaned vegatation.
