chatakpur hill station

Chatakpur is a small village nestled within the Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary in Darjeeling. The village is a paradise for nature lovers, offering spectacular views of the mountain range of Kanchenjunga. Chatakpur is located at an altitude of 7887 feet and is so small that it has a population of only 90 people. The farming of vegeatables through terraced cultivation is done which is the livelihood for the people living in the village. Along with the farming of vegeatables, medicinal herbs are also grown. There is an entry fee of Rs 120 per person and Rs 500 for foreigners, to enter the village as it is located within the Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary.
