: The Akshardham temple in Gandhinagar city is one of India's largest temples and a popular pilgrimage site for many people. This temple is devoted to Lord Swaminarayan and was built by the same organization that built the one in Delhi , BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. The facility, which is located in Gujarat's capital, took over 13 years to create and was inaugurated on October 30th, 1992. Akshardham Temple is placed in the center of the 23-acre compound, which is created from 6,000 metric tons of pink sandstone from Rajasthan .
