Bhadra Tiger Reserve is a protected area and tiger reserve, situated in Chikkamagaluru district in Karnataka state of India. It has a wide range of flora and fauna and is a popular place for day outings. Hebbe Giri is the highest peak in the sanctuary which is 6,152 feet above sea level. It is home to more than 120 plant species. Some of the common species include crepe myrtle, kadam, thaasal, simpoh, teak, kindal, Indian-laurel, rosewood, Indian kino tree, white teak etc. while, animals in the Tiger Reserve include elephant, Indian Leopard, gaur, sloth bear, wild boar, black leopard, jungle cat, jackal, wild dog, sambar, spotted deer, barking deer and tigers.
