Periyar Tiger Reserve is a tiger Reserve, located in the Indian state of Kerala. It is home to a luxuriant collection of different species of flora and fauna. The Tiger Reserve derived its name from the River Periyar which has its origin deep inside the reserve. The reserve has a lot to offer to the travellers, when it comes to eco-tourism programmes. Activites such as Bamboo Rafting, Tribal Dance, Trekking Trails, Jungle Scout, Border Hiking, Jungle Camps, Bamboo Grove, Jungle Inn and many other activites can be done here.
