India’s one of the most approved and glorious wildlife holiday destinations, Kaziranga National Parkis situated in the Golaghat and Nagaon districts of the state of Assam. The Park hosts one-third of the world’s great one-horned rhinoceroses. With a total area of 430 km2, this National Park sprinkled with elephant-grass meadows, dense forests and swampy lagoons is abode to more than 2200 Indian one-horned rhinoceros. Apart from the rhinoceroses, the Park also holds a large population of wild water buffalo,elephants, and swamp deer. With the preservation of avifaunal speciesKaziranga is acknowledged as an Important Bird Area by BirdLife International.

Kaziranga National Park is also one of the rare National parks that have species of Vultureslikethe Indian vulture, white-rumped vulture, andslender-billed vulture.

Undoubtedly the National Park is known for its vast breed of one-horned rhinoceros and other animals but the vast expanse of tall elephant grass, marshland, and dense tropical moist broadleaf forests makeit look beautiful and Brahmaputra River is the topping on it.Kaziranga National Park remains closed from 1st May to 31stOct every year for visitors. Hence November to April is the best time to visit and explore this majestic Kaziranga National Park.
