Bohag Bihu is a traditional ethnic festival celebrated in the Indian state of Assam. The festival celebrates the beginning of the harvesting season, which involves the farmer community offering thanks to the almighty for the successful harvest as well as pray for a better harvest in the future. It is celebrated thrice in a year which signifies three different farming cycles - Bhogali Bihu, Bohag Bihu and Kongali Bihu.
