Konark Dance Festival is one of the biggest dance festivals held every year in the month of December in Odisha. It is a five-day dance festival, organized to promote the diverse Indian dance heritage as well as the popularity of Konark Temple and Odisha as a tourist destination. The festival was first organized in 1986 by Padmashree Guru Gangadhar Pradhan, who was an internationally renowned Odissi dance guru.
