Ladakh Harvest Festival

The Ladakh Harvest Festival is a 15 day festival celebrated every year, between 1st and 15th September to promote and maintain the rich heritage of Ladakh’s age-old culture. During the festival, various cultural troupes and villages participate in the extravaganza of ceremonial costumes, dances and songs. Archery for males, dancing for females and mask dances by the lamas of sacred monasteries are also performed.
