Losar, also known as Tibetan New Year, is a festival, celebrated for 15 days, with the main celebrations on the first three days. The festival is celebrated by the Buddhist Community in Ladakh. Losar is a Tibetan word that means ‘New Year’. It is marked with the celebration of Birth and Nirvana Anniversary Je Tsongkhapa with illuminations of religious places like Monasteries, Stupas, residential and other places.
