Maghi Purnima

Maghi Purnima, also called by the name of Magha Purnima, is known to be a day of the full moon that happens during the Hindu calendar month of Magh. Magha Purnima falls during the New Style calendar month of January or February. During this period, the auspicious Kumbh Mela is held every twelve years, and therefore the Magha Mela is persisted an annual basis at the confluence of three rivers or Triveni Sangam all around north India, like in cities of Allahabad or Prayag. During Magham people take early morning bath within the Ganga or within the Yamuna throughout the month. The daily bathing which starts from Paush Purnima ends on Magha Purnima.
