Nehru Trophy Boat Race is a popular boat race held in the Punnamada Lake near Alappuzha, Kerala. It was inaugurated by Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in 1952. The event happens on the second Saturday of August every year, attracting a large number of visitors.
