Qila Raipur Sports Festival, also called the Rural Olympics, is held in Qila Raipur in Punjab state of India. Competitions such as, cart-race, athletic events and rope pulling are organised during the event. Qila Raipur Festival started in 1933, It is believed that a philanthropist named Inder Singh Grewal, thought about bringing farmers from the surrounding areas for an annual meet to test their corporal endurance. It is only then, the festival was born.
