Sonepur Cattle Fair, also known as Harihar Kshetra Mela, is the biggest cattle fair in Asia, held on Kartik Poornima over the months of November and December in Sonepur, Bihar. It lasts from fifteen days to one month in duration, attracting visitors from all over Asia. Sonepur Cattle Fair was historically started by the Suryawanshi Bais Kings of saran.
