Hathni Falls is a waterfall located about 30 km away from the town of Pavagadh, in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is 100 metres high and is surrounded by a variety of beautiful flora and fauna. The waterfall is extremely popular amongst tourists of all age. The name of this waterfall translates to 'small elephant’ and is believed to be named after the local tribal community observed a rock that looks exactly like a baby elephant. The rock is still present at the base of the waterfall which is now dressed up in religious fabric and adorned with flowers. The best time to visit Hathni Falls is during and after the monsoon season.
