Chakia is a town council in Bihar's East Champaran district. Chakia is a sub district in the district of East Champaran. It is around 8 kilometers northeast of the Mehsi urban and district entry point. 32 kilometers southeast of Motihari, the district headquarters.

  • Gandhi Ghat : Gandhi Ghat is a prominent ghat on the banks of the Ganges in Patna, Bihar. It is famous because Mahatma Gandhi's ashes were interred here. The place's centerpiece, however, is the magnificent Ganga Aarti, which is visited by hundreds of devotees and tourists. The aarti is performed at dusk with 51 lamps by a group of priests clad in saffron robes. This activity began in 2011 and was inspired by those seen in Varanasi and Haridwar. Another popular activity on the ghat is the river cruise ship, which includes a restaurant. This specific pastime attracts a large number of tourists who come to dine at the "floating restaurant" amidst the warm blue waters of the Ganges. In addition, the kite festival is a huge event here and is celebrated with a lot of pomp and show on the day of Makar Sankranti every year. You can also go boating at the ghat.
