A perfect specimen illustrating the power of dreaming, believing in dreams, and making those dreams come alive, the Treasured Wheels Museum in Guwahati, Assam, is the brainchild of Mr. Piklu Deka (or Piklu Da as everyone calls him) who had a dream of owning a vintage car but now has an extensive collection of 50 vintage cars, 50 motorbikes, and much more. It was in 2013 that the dream of Mr. Piklu Deka turned into reality with the inception of the museum, which has already welcomed numerous visitors not only from the north-eastern states but from all over the nation.
Upon reaching the museum the visitors will be greeted by an impressive collection of helmets used by soldiers during World War II followed by several memoirs of the war including vintage Russian Army trucks, American Motorbikes, and Chinese Paratrooper Cycles, all of which are in the perfect condition. Apart from these memorabilia, the museum also houses safes from the time of the 2nd World War, gas masks, and parachutes.

Apart from the vintage vehicles the museum galleries also display a collection of old clocks, cameras, telephones, gramophones, coins, along with dozens of bicycles. The location of the museum not only gives the visitors a look into some of the rarest and stunning vehicles used over the decades but the serene, lush green, and quaint environment is also ideal to have a picnic with your friends or family where visitors can rent the mobile kitchen and children can enjoy in the treehouse.
