Ajodhya hill station

Ajodhya Hills, is a small plateau, located in the Purulia district of West Bengal state of India. Chamtaburu which is about 699 metres high is the highest peak of Ajodhya Hills. Ajodhya Hills is known to be a popular place for young mountaineers to learn the basic course of rock climbing. It can be reached by three routes, via Jhalda, via Sirkabad and via Baghmundi. Ajodhya Hills has quite a few numbers of Eco-resorts some of which include Gorgaburu, Mayuri. It is believed that Lord Rama and Sita had stayed at Ajodhya Hills during their exile, where Sita was thirsty and Ram pierced an arrow through the Earth's soil crust and through that water gushed out, it's only then Sita quenched her thirst, the place is known as Sita-kunda.
