kalimpong hill station

Kalimpong is a town, located at an average elevation of 1,250 metres in the Indian state of West Bengal. The Indian Army's 27 Mountain Division is located on the outskirts of Kalimpong. It is known for its educational institutions, many of which were established during the British colonial period. The town has a number of places to visit. Some of them include Teesta River, The Kalimpong Science Centr, a flower market, The Tibetan Buddhist monastery named Zang Dhok Palri Phodang and many more. Kalimpong is known to have seasons - spring, summer, autumn, winter and the monsoons. The temperature remains around 25.5 °C in Summers, followed by the monsoon rains, while the temperature remains around 8 °C during Winter season.
