Rangpo is a town in Pakyong district in the state of Sikkim. It is situated along the Teesta river and Rangpo river and borders West Bengal's Kalimpong district. Rangpo is the first town in Sikkim that links Siliguri to Gangtok. It is known to be the Gateway to Sikkim', where all vehicles entering the state have to stop at the Rangpo Police check-post, foreign tourists require documents, to show them at the police check post to enter Sikkim. The nearest airport to reach the town is Pakyong Airport, which is around 25 km away and Bagdogra International Airport which is 90 km away. The town's economy is mainly driven by factories, companies, areas like Mining, Kumrek, Chanatar etc.
