Howrah, alo known as Haora is the second largest city in the Indian state of West Bengal.

The city is located on the western bank of the Hooghly River opposite its twin city of Kolkata and is known as an engineering hub, mainly in the area of light engineering industry.

It is a transportation hub and gateway to Kolkata and West Bengal.
