Shaheed-e-Aazam S. Bhagat Singh Museum

About the Museum

Located at the ancestral home of the young and well-known freedom fighter Sardar Bhagat Singh in Khatkar Kalian, Jalandhar, Punjab, the Shaheed-e-Azam S. Bhagat Singh Museum was established on 23rd March 1981 on the 50th Martyrdom anniversary of Bhagat Singh. Kalian is an old village in Jalandhar that has given birth to some of the brave hearts of India such as Ajit Singh, Sardar Swaran Singh, and Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh.

The Bhagat Singh Museum is known for its historic features and houses numerous documents and articles pertaining to Bhagat Singh such as photographs, notes illustrating his handwriting, etc. A detailed piece of information about Bhagat Singh and his belongings has been provided in the museum along with other electrifying items related to him. There is a copy of Bhagavad Geeta with the autographs of Bhagat Singh displayed in the aisle.

The exhibits in the museum comprise photographs, articles, half-burnt bones, well-preserved blood-stained newspapers in which the ashes were wrapped, and a judgment copy of the Lahore conspiracy case. The pen that was used to mark the death sentence of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev is also kept on display for visitors to see. All the exhibits are locked inside a glass door and can only be seen through the glass.
