Some popular historical places are:

• Gurudwara Mehdiana Sahib – An ancient Gurdwara (Sikh temple), also known as the School of Sikh History; a place of high religious significance in Ludhiana.
• Phillaur Fort – A historical fort that holds a key to Ludhiana’s deep heritage; it is now being used as a training centre for the Police Department of Ludhiana – but is also visited by tourists and history enthusiasts.
• Gurudwara Sri Manji Sahib – Another historic and religiously significant center for Sikhs, this place is said to have been the resting place of Guru Gobind Singh - the 10th guru of the Sikhs, and this marked its significance.
• Bilwanwali Masjid – Ludhiana also has a modest Muslim population, and some beautiful historic mosques and Muslim worship places – of which this is a significant one!
