Mandi is a district in Himachal Pradesh, India.
Mandi district was formed with the merger of two princely states Mandi and Suket on 15th April 1948.
Mandi is situated in the centre part of Himachal Pradesh.
Mandi is often called the 'Varanasi of Himachal" because of is its 81 old stone temples. Mandi is also known as the 'Kashi of the Hills' or "Choti Kashi".
