Narsipatnam is a town in the Anakapalle district of Andhra Pradesh. Upgraded from a gram panchayat into a municipality in 2012, Narsipatnam is a census Town.It is occupied with a total area of 42 km2. Narsipatnam has an average elevation of 58 meters (190 feet). It is one of the five places in India where the IST line passed. Narsipatnam railway station is classified as a D–category station in the Vijayawada railway division of the South Coast Railway zone. According to the 2011 Census of India, Narsipatnamtown had a population of 33,757 andthe total population consists, of 17,681 females and 16,076 males. A sex ratio of 1100 females per 1000 males, is higher than the national average of 940 per 1000.Narsipatnam town is an assembly constituency of Andhra Pradesh.In the 2009 elections,1,95,804 registered voters are there in the Narsipatnam constituency.
