Bendao Waterfall

Bendao Baglai Falls is a waterfall located in the Dima Hasao, the only hill station of the Indian state of Assam. The waterfall is known for its pristine beauty and crystal clear water. It is located around 3 kms from a village named Samparidisa which has been declared as one of the Swachh villages of Assam by the state government. The area has three waterfalls, Bendao Baglai Falls is one of them. Bendao means two sisters and Baglai means to jump in Dimasa language. It is believed that the waterfall got its name from the incident when two sisters took their own lives by jumping from one of these three waterfalls. The best time to visit Bendao Baglai Falls is from the months of July to September.

Entry Fee

There is no entry fee to enter the waterfall, however in order to reach the falls, a trekking through Samparidisa village is required which is considered as one of the toughest and risky trekking. Visitors who are adventure lovers and trekking enthusiasts are generally advised to hire a guide who can help them to have a safe trekking. The estimated price to hire a guide is around Rs 5000.

The best time to visit Bendao Baglai Falls is from the months of July to September.
