Rainbow Falls is a waterfall, located near Nongriat village in Cherrapunji, in the Indian state of Meghalaya. It is one of the popular places to visit in Cherrapunji, situated within the forest. A small rainbow near the waterfall is formed due to sun rays that is why it is called Rainbow Falls. To reach the fall, a trek from Tyrna village which takes about 2 hours is required. The fall can be visited anytime throught the year but it is generally advised to visit during the early morning hours, as in the morning, there are high chances of witnessing a rainbow. There are few places to visit near the waterfall, Mawsmai Cave, Thangkharang Park, Double Decker Living Root Bridge are some of them.
