Rajat Prapat

Rajat Prapat is a waterfall, located in the Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh. It is the 30th highest waterfall in India and is a horsetail type waterfall with a single drop falling from a height of 351 feet, surrounded by lush greenery. In Hindi, ‘rajat’ means silver and ‘prapat’ means falls, it is said when sunlight falls on it, it shines as silver and that is the only reason why it was named Rajat Prapat. Visitors who wish to watch the waterfall are required to take permission from the forest department as the fall lies in Satpura National Park. The best time to visit Rajat Prapat is during or post monsoon season, that is, from the month of October to May. There are few places to visit near the waterfall, Shri Panch Pandav Caves, Dhupgarh, Handi Khoh are some of them.

Road Accessibility : Pachmarhi Bus Stand is the nearest Bus Stand. From here, one can reach to Apsara Vihar which is 3 km away and then a trek of 3 km to reach the Falls.
