Vantawng Falls

Vantawng Falls is a waterfall, located in Serchhip district in the Indian state of Mizoram. The fall is 324 feet high. It is the highest and most spectacular waterfalls that cascades down in the fast flowing rivers of Mizoram. It is situated in Vanva river and is believed to be named after Vantawnga, a man who was said to be an excellent swimmer. The waterfall can not be accessed closely because of the sheer forested hillsides surrounding it, however, a viewing tower has been constructed for travellers. The best time to visit Vantawng Falls is from the month of September to January. There are many places to visit near the waterfall, Chhingpuii Thlan, Earth Rock Cafe and Dumboor Lake are some of them.
