Places to visit

  • Parnera Chamunda Mata Temple: On Parnera Hill in Valsad, there is a shrine dedicated to Parnera Chamunda Mata. It is one of the region’s most untouched tourist destinations. The temple is tiny, but its beauty is enhanced by its location at the apex of a hill surrounded by beautiful foliage. It is one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in Valsad and Gujarat, thanks to the breathtaking scenery. The temple is a bit of a journey, and we would not recommend it for the elderly or the infirm. It would take approximately twenty minutes to walk from the Valsad station to the temple’s foot. A lion statue guards the sanctum sanctorum, while Chamunda Mata is shown in the main prayer area.

It is modest in comparison to the other temples we tour, but people throng here every day. The temple is one-of-a-kind, and it has a story to tell. It is one of the few temples in the area without a full ceiling. Locals admit that the ceiling fell every time they attempted to erect it, therefore it remains open.

  • Parnera Fort: The Parnera fort is also known as the Chhatrapati Shivaji fort. Legend has it that the Chhatrapati visited here once; making it one of the few places he visited besides Maharashtra. The fort has been adequately maintained by the authorities. To access the fort, you must first drive on the main road and then take a minor road, which is a bit of a hike. There is a staircase that spans a portion of the distance, making it simpler for older persons to get to the fort. The view on the way up and when you reach the summit is breathtaking.
