Rayachoti is a town located in the Annamayya District Andhra Pradesh. Rayachoti is the headquarters of Annamayya district which is formed after Rajampet (Lok Sabha constituency) of Andhra Pradesh. Rayachoti Town is a municipality in Rayachoti Mandal (Tehsil) of the Rayachoti revenue division.Rayachoti is one of the oldest towns in Andhra Pradesh. Rayachoti town is occupied with a total area of 39.78 km2. According to the 2011 Census Report of India,Rayachoti is upgraded as a municipal city in the district of YSR, Andhra Pradesh. Rayachotitown has a population of 91,234 out of which 44,717 are females and 46,517 are males.

Rayachoti was once governed by a wide group of kingdoms, empires, andsultanates. Rayachoti town once used to be called 'Rachoutee' or 'Rachouty'.Rayachoti Town is well connected by road, rail, and air. There are 9 main roads inside the town.

Sri Veerabhadra Swamy Temple is a 1000-year-old temple and is designed in such a way that the sun rays fall on Lord Veerabhadra’s idol during 5 days of March. On the 1st day, rays fall on the feet and gradually it goes upwards and on the 5th day they fall on the face of Lord Veerabhadra’s idol.The visiting hours for the temple are 5:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.People from neighboring states Tamil Nadu and Karnataka also visit this sacred Sri Veerabhadra Swamy Temple.
  • Saibaba Temple : Saibaba Temple is situated at a distance of 1 km from Rayachoti town. It is a very popular and important temple in Rayachoti town.
