  • KumararamaBheemeshwara Swamy Temple : As the most prominent landmark in Samalkot, KumararamaBheemeshwara Swamy Temple is a magnificent example of Dravidian-stylearchitecture.This temple is devoted to Lord Shiva, and it has 100 pillars supporting its two-story, fully-supported building. The Shiva lingam is protected by a monolithic figure of Nandi at the entryway. Goddess Bala Tripura Sundari, a manifestation of Goddess Parvati, is worshipped as an idol on the temple's ground floor. The main shrine of the temple is located in the center of the inner sanctuary, and its entrance is known as Surya Dwaram. The presiding deity is Lord Rudrabhaga, and the building is rectangular in shape. It is enshrined with a 14-foot-tall limestone lingam that rises from the platform on the ground level to the second floor, piercing through the roof. The first floor, which was recently rebuilt and features exquisite designs of flat leaves, lotuses, salas, kalasa, and a series of geese kutas, is where devotees can offer their prayers to the lingam. Pushkarni Lake can be seen on the east side of the temple, where a mandapam named Koneti is located.
