The Pin Parvati Pass Trek Itinerary

  • Day 1 – Day 1 of the trek commences with a 12 hours long drive to Kaza, which is the base camp of the trek. The altitude of which is 12,467 feet.
  • Day 2 – Acclimatization Day at Kaza, since the trek takes the trekkers through some of the soaring peaks.
  • Day 3 – The day begins with a 2 hours’ drive from Kaza to Mudh village, which is at a lower altitude.Upon reaching Mudh, it is a 3 hours’ trek to Tiya, which is at an altitude of 12,795 feet and it usually takes 2-3 hours for trekkers to reach there.
  • Day 4 – A long trek of5-6 hours from Tiya to Shia, being at an altitude of 12,795 feet – 14,763 feet, the trek spot provides with a beautiful view of the Spiti Valley. Shia is a shepherd’s campsite therefore it is difficult to find a place to set up a camp there. Also, a precautionary note would be to be careful here, since it is a landslide prone area.
  • Day 5 – The day commences with moving to the Pin Base from Shia. The altitude of the Pin Base is 14,763 feet to 15,780 feet. The Pin Base is a steep ascent of 17,00 feet; however, it renders a beautiful scenery on the upward climb and is sure to leave you breathless.
  • Day 6 – The moment for which you have been eagerly waiting finally comes to an end. You get to experience the best of both world with the majestic views of Pin Valley and Parvati Valley on either side.
  • Day 7 – Rest Day at Mantalai Lake.
  • Day 8 – Having re-energized at the Mantalai Lake, the trek continues to the Odi Thach Campsite. The day is marked by a beautiful and scenic 9 km downhill hike to the famous meadows of Odi Thach.
  • DAY 9 - An 8 hours trek from Odi Thach to Tunda Bhuj.
  • DAY 10 - A stretchy descent from the Tunda Bhuj to Kheerganga. The trail will take you through various pastures lands inside silver birch trees. A frothy cascade of water filling into the plunge pool is a sight to behold on your way.
  • DAY 11 - The day marks the depart from Kheerganga to Barshaini. It is a 7 km downhill from Kheerganga. Once reached, it will take around 3 hours to reach to Kullu.
  • DAY 12 - The last day of the trek is a buffer day.
