Ranthambore National Park

Ranthambore National Park is one of the biggest and most illustrious national parks in Northern India. Once known as one of the famous and former hunting habitats of the Maharajas of Jaipur, the Ranthambore National Park terrain is a major wildlife tourist attraction famous for drawing the attention of many wildlife photographers and nature lovers.

Declared one of the Project Tiger reserves in 1973 and later became a national park in 1980, Ranthambore National Park is home to deciduous forests and wildlife such as the Bengal tiger, Indian leopard, Wild water buffalo, Indian elephant, Gaur, nilgai, Blackbuck, Barasingha, Chinkara, Chousingha, samba, wild boar, Greater false vampire bat, Honey badger, Indian Flying Fox, mugger crocodile and many more. The sanctuary is home to an ample variety of trees, plants, birds, and reptiles, and also the host of a gigantic Banyan tree that is considered to be India’s second largest Banyan.
