Established in 2001 by the state government, Gujarat Science City Museum in Ahmedabad is a must-have place in the itinerary of every traveler and even the locals. The purpose of this place is to promote scientific education and boost the scientific disposition among people. The science city museum offers high-tech facilities to its visitors and an out-of-the-world experience with its 3D shows and simulation rides. The museum has an IMAX 3D theatre, energy park, life science park, musical fountains, and an amphitheater. This fascinating and thrilling place to visit has a hexagonal-shaped sprawling campus and the different attractions here are in separate sections which are linked to the rest of the complex through roads and pavements. Some of the top attractions inside the Science City Museum are:
IMAX 3D Theater: The 3D theater is equipped with advanced audio and video technologies where daily shows are being held. The 3D theater offers visitors an impressive and powerful experience to watch movies and shows such as Born to Be Wild, Walking on the Moon, Island of Lemurs: Madagascar, and T-Rex.
Planet Earth Pavilion: This section is devoted to the earth and its natural habitat. There are more than 650 exhibits, a coal mine, a children’s play area, 4D shows, and a section where you can have a real earthquake-like experience.
Hall of Space: As the name suggests, this particular section informs about the space with distinct exhibits, cooperating modules, and exciting activities. Take a simulated journey through space and watch projected panoramic views of the universe, you will be in awe after exciting the Hall of Space.
Energy Education Park: The Park is themed around natural and man-made energy. It has several exhibitions projecting wind energy, solar energy, tidal energy, natural gas, and petroleum, etc.

Life Science Park: This is an open-air section of the museum which aims to promote the study of nature through different exhibits such as a cactus corner, tissue culture lab, cretaceous park, butterfly park, and an aviary among many others.
Hall of Science: This is an interactive section with working exhibits that fascinates both children and adults. Unlike other conventional science museums, you can do things here like press buttons, turn handles, and conduct your experiments.
Musical Fountain: The musical fountain at the museum attracts many visitors. It demonstrates many scientific and technological phenomena like hydrostat, electromagnetism, hydrodynamics. The musical fountain offers a spectacular sight with 935 colored lightings, 113 water jets, and over 20 different themes.
Simulator Rides: Feel the life-like experience of roller coaster rides, aerobatic aircraft flying, space trips, Star war, a journey into a volcano, and many more in the simulator ride section of the Science City Museum. The simulator ride is an enclosed capsule that accommodates 30 people at once.
LED Screen and Amphitheater: The huge LED screen with an open-air amphitheater installed inside the campus also draws the attention of many people and can accommodate 1500 people at once.
