A museum created in the premises of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, the High Court Museum is home to a marvelous exhibition of records and exhibits of many historical events that happened under the jurisdiction of law. The museum traces the regional judicial system and the historic journey behind the High Court through several artefacts and documents.

The museum at the High Court of Punjab and Haryana Chandigarh is a fascinating place with an interesting exhibition of historical events. Designed by Le Corbusier, the museum presents us with an opportunity to introspect and enlighten ourselves about the historical advances of the Court and to appreciate the journey it has gone through to reach where it is today. The Court has had a fascinating history of the growth of its social and political affairs over which it has practiced jurisdiction. The museum attempts to recount and summarize the historical context of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana through the exhibition and its variety of exhibits.
The museum houses judgment and court records of some of the most significant historic events such as the trial of Bhagat Singh at Lahore, arrest of Dr. Kitchlew, creation of the post of Chief Justice, arrest of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, etc. Furthermore, several display items such as Nathu Ram Godse’s handcuffs and a replica of the original Constitution of India signed by the original Constituent Committee, and various old stamps of that period are also showcased here.
A separate room has been recreated as the Court Room which comprises of old equipment like stamps, sofas, heater, pen stand, typewriter, and calendar, etc., to refabricate and illustrate how the Court Rooms of that time period looked like.
