Paharganj

Paharganj Market is a market place located in the bustling streets of Paharganj area in the National Capital Region (NCR) Delhi in India.

It is one of Delhi’s many shopping streets and street market places. It is said to be a paradise for shoppers, looking for good deals in clothes, accessories, jewellery and household items.

The name 'Paharganj', literally translates to “Hilly neighbourhood”, owing to its proximity to the Raisina Hill - an area in New Delhi, which holds India's most important government buildings, including Rashtrapati Bhavan, which is the home of the President of India, and the secretariat building (that houses the office of the Prime Minister of India).

Paharganj market is famous for its wide range of clothing options. Apart from clothes, it also has various shops selling cheap footwear, handbags and backpacks. The street also hassome amazing cafes and eateries where people can get refreshments.

This market is known to be a popular destination for affordable wedding shopping in Delhi. Paharganj market is open to shoppers from 9 AM to 11PM from Tuesdays through Sunday, and is closed on Mondays.
