Kalpetta, Kerala

In the South Indian state of Kerala's mountainous Wayanad area sits the town of Kalpetta. It serves as a starting point for hikes up Chembra Peak's lofty slopes and leads to Neelimala Viewpoint, which offers views of waterfalls and wooded valleys.   • Banasura Dam : The second-biggest earthen dam in Asia, Banasura Dam is the largest in the nation. The expansive reservoir can be seen from the top of the dam in stunning detail.
