Sheesh Mahal is also known as the Mirror Palace in Jaipur;Rajasthan is located at Amer fort. It is situated on the Jaipur-Delhi Highway in Amber Fort, is 11 km from Jaipur, and was constructed with red sandstone and marble.The Sheesh Mahal was commissioned by Raja Man Singh in the 16th century for the queen to be able to look at the stars, or less, have an alternative to one since the women were not allowed to sleep in the open. The opulent Sheesh Mahal was commissioned by King Man Singh in the 16th century. However, the construction of the palace was completed in the year 1727. In the ancient days, the queens were not allowed to sleep in open air, however they loved to gaze at the stars at night while sleeping. Hence the king ordered his architects to build a kind of palace which could solve the issue. The Sheesh Mahal therefore was built with stones and glasses, and at night when the candles were lit, its reflection would look like stars in the whole room.
The wall and ceiling of the hall is carved with beautiful paintings and flowers which was made of pure glass and precious stone. And the placement of ceiling glass is wonderful.
