Naidupet is a town situated in the Tirupati District of Andhra Pradesh. It is also the Mandal headquarters of Naidupeta Mandal and is located in the Sullurupeta revenue division. Occupied with a total area of 19.40 km2, Naidupet town has a total population of 45,055. The Naidupet town is also called Naidupeta or Nayudupeta.The bus services from the Naidupet bus stationare operated by Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation.   • Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary : Situated at a distance of 15 km from Naidupet, Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary is located in the Nelapattu Village of Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh. The Bird Sanctuary is known for hosting spot-billed pelicansspecies from the Pelicans family. Nelapattu Bird Sanctuaryis covered with two main plant communities,southern dry evergreen scrub, andBarringtonia swamp forests. The Southern dry evergreen scrub covers most of the parts ofthe sanctuary that includes 288 hectares of Kalluru Reserved Forest and 88 hectares of unreserved forest. The Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary is home to 189 bird species out of which 50 of which are migratory birds. The best time to visit this Bird Sanctuary is between October to March. The visiting hours for the Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple : Situated at a distance of 17 km from Naidupet town, Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple is a Hindu temple devoted to Lord Rama. The temple is located in Vontimitta town in Vontimitta Mandala of Kadapa District. Built during the 16th Century, the Sri Kodandarama Swamy Templeis a monument that depicts the architectural style of the Vijayanagara Dynasty. The temple is considered to be the largest temple in the region. According to the legend, the temple was built by Mittuduand Vontudu they wereNishida vamsha, who were said to be robbers who turned into devotees of Lord Rama. After constructing the temple, they turned it into stone.
