Titled after the name of a famous Sufi saint Baba Farid, Faridabad is located in the northern Indian state of Haryana and is the most crowded city in India. One of the largest cities in Haryana, Faridabad is situated in the National Capital Region (NCR). Known for being the largest exporter of henna in India, Faridabad is the industrial sector and is home to several large-scale industries and factories. The city is also known for its prosperous cultural heritage and various historic monuments, including the Raja Nahar Sing Fort and the Surajkund Lake. The town is also known for hosting the world’s largest crafts mela every year near Surajkund Lake.
